Refund Policy

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This Refund Policy applies to tickets for events promoted, presented or organised by BLUE MOON ENTERTAINMENT GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 80 690 006 725), trading as Blue Moon Entertainment (“Blue Moon”, “we”, “us” or “our”). It must be read with our Terms and Conditions and the terms of the authorised ticket seller used to complete the purchase.

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (“ACL”). If this Policy conflicts with a non-excludable legal right, the legal right prevails.

1. When a refund is available

A refund or other remedy will be provided where required by law, including where:

  • Blue Moon cancels the event;
  • the event is subject to a major or material change;
  • the advertised headline artist is removed or replaced;
  • the event is relocated to another city;
  • the event cannot be delivered safely;
  • there is a major failure in the event service; or
  • another refund right arises under the ACL or applicable law.

Whether a postponement or other change is major depends on the nature, extent and circumstances of the change. Supporting-act, set-time, production or seating-layout adjustments will not necessarily be major if the event remains substantially the event purchased.

2. Cancelled events

If an event is cancelled and no replacement event will proceed, eligible ticket holders will receive a refund of all amounts that must legally be refunded. This will ordinarily include the ticket price.

A booking, transaction, payment-processing or delivery fee will also be refunded where required by law. A separately disclosed fee may be retained only where the related service was separately and properly supplied and retaining it is lawful.

Refunds will normally be processed by the authorised ticket seller through which the ticket was purchased.

3. Postponed or rescheduled events

The original ticket remains valid for a replacement date unless customers are advised otherwise. Blue Moon will make reasonable efforts to confirm the replacement date within 90 days after announcing the postponement.

A customer may request a refund where:

  • no replacement date is confirmed within 90 days;
  • the replacement date or arrangements constitute a major change;
  • the event is moved to another city;
  • the headline artist is removed or replaced;
  • the replacement cannot be supplied within a reasonable time; or
  • a refund is otherwise required by law.

When a replacement date is announced, the refund-request window will be stated in the announcement and will be at least 30 days, unless a different period is reasonably necessary and lawful. An administrative deadline does not remove a non-excludable statutory right.

4. War, Iran-related disruption and force majeure

An event may be affected by circumstances outside Blue Moon’s reasonable control, including war, armed conflict, political unrest, terrorism, sanctions, closure of Iranian or regional airspace, border or airport closure, flight disruption, visa refusal or material delay, government restrictions, embassy or consular closure, serious illness, natural disaster, epidemic, pandemic, venue closure or failure of essential infrastructure.

The occurrence of such circumstances does not automatically mean the event is cancelled. We may first seek a lawful alternative travel route, visa solution, replacement venue or replacement date.

If the event is cancelled, materially changed, unsafe or cannot be supplied within a reasonable time, customers will receive the remedy required by applicable law and this Policy.

Where the event cannot proceed solely because of government action or an unrelated third party, the exact legal remedy may depend on the circumstances and the ticket contract. Blue Moon will nevertheless communicate promptly, act reasonably and, as appropriate, offer:

  • transfer of the ticket to a confirmed replacement date;
  • a refund where the replacement cannot be provided within a reasonable time;
  • a refund where the event change is major; or
  • another remedy agreed with the customer.

A voucher or credit may be offered as an option but will not replace a monetary refund where a monetary refund is required by law.

5. Change of mind and personal circumstances

Where the event proceeds substantially as advertised, a refund is generally not available merely because the customer:

  • changes their mind or no longer wishes to attend;
  • is unable to attend for personal, study, work or travel reasons;
  • purchases the wrong city, date, ticket type or seating category;
  • fails to obtain an Australian or transit visa;
  • experiences a personal flight, accommodation or transport disruption;
  • arrives late or misses the event;
  • fails to satisfy a clearly disclosed age or entry condition; or
  • is refused entry or removed for unlawful, unsafe or seriously disruptive conduct.

Blue Moon may consider exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or bereavement, at its reasonable discretion. We may request appropriate evidence. A discretionary outcome does not create an obligation to approve other requests.

Customers should consider suitable travel and ticket insurance.

6. Travel, visa and accommodation expenses

Unless expressly included in the ticket package, Blue Moon does not supply and is not responsible for separately booked flights, visas, accommodation, meals, transport or other personal arrangements.

Customers should use refundable arrangements where possible and check the event status before travelling. Nothing in this section excludes a right to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss where such a right exists under the ACL.

7. Authorised ticket sellers

Tickets may be processed by an authorised seller such as TktDig, Megatix or another platform identified on the relevant event page. That seller generally controls the payment system and must process the refund to the original payment method.

Customers should first follow the refund instructions issued by the authorised seller. Blue Moon will provide reasonable assistance and confirmation to the seller where required.

8. Unauthorised purchases

Blue Moon cannot process a refund for money paid to an unauthorised reseller, private individual, social-media account or unofficial website. The purchaser must contact the person or business that received the payment. The purchaser may also have rights through consumer law or their payment provider.

9. Transferred or resold tickets

A refund will ordinarily be paid to the original purchaser through the original payment method. A person who received a transferred ticket should arrange any private repayment with the original purchaser unless the authorised seller provides an official transfer-and-refund process.

10. How to request a refund

First use the refund process provided by the authorised ticket seller. If further assistance is required, email Contact@bluemoonent.com.au and provide:

  • the purchaser’s full name;
  • order or booking number;
  • event name and city;
  • ticket quantity and category;
  • the authorised ticket seller;
  • the reason for the request; and
  • relevant supporting information.

Do not send full card or bank-account details by email.

11. Processing time

After eligibility is confirmed, Blue Moon will instruct or assist the relevant ticket seller to process the refund as soon as reasonably practicable. The time for funds to appear may depend on the ticket platform, bank, card provider and payment method.

Customers will be informed if identity verification or further information is reasonably required. Blue Moon is not responsible for banking-system delays after a refund has been released, but will provide reasonable assistance to trace it.

12. Original payment method

Refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. If it is no longer available, the authorised seller may require proof of identity and alternative payment details through its secure system. No full payment-card details should be sent by ordinary email.

13. Partial attendance and event commencement

A customer who voluntarily leaves early or misses part of an event is not normally entitled to a refund. If a material failure occurs after the event begins, any refund or compensation will be assessed according to the affected portion of the service, the seriousness of the failure and applicable law.

14. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact the authorised ticket seller or Blue Moon before initiating a payment dispute so the matter can be investigated promptly. Nothing in this section prevents a customer from exercising a lawful chargeback or payment-dispute right.

15. Fraud and duplicate transactions

Blue Moon or the ticket seller may request reasonable verification before issuing a refund. Fraudulent, altered or duplicated claims may be rejected and referred to the relevant payment provider or authority. A genuine duplicate transaction will be corrected in accordance with applicable law.
